Facilities

Veterans' field

Veterans' Field is located in Sharon Valley on Sharon Station Road. There are three (3) baseball diamonds (Babe Ruth, Little League, and a softball field), two full soccer fields, tennis courts and a paved basketball court. Also available for daily and group use (by reservation) is the Lions' Club Pavilion. Restroom facilities are available during SBRY-sponsored programs.

The Veterans' Field facility is maintained by SBRY. Mowing and other maintenance is for the purpose of creating the best possible environment for athletic use. We request that citizens observe the following rules:

These rules are not meant to be prohibitive, rather, to promote the greatest enjoyment for all residents. The SBRY asks that you observe the rules so that our facilities will stay in optimum condition.

Town Tennis Courts

Under the auspices of the 1998 Sharon Board of Recreation and Youth, and with the guidance and support of the town Selectmen, new tennis courts were installed on the southwest comer of Veterans' Field.

Community Center

The Community Center is located at 99 North Main Street. The director of SBRY has offices located in that building. The Community Center is available to residents by appointment, and may be used for such things as birthday parties, club meetings, etc.

Mudge Pond Town Beach

The town beach is located at the north end of Mudge Pond Road. The facility offers a changing pavilion, picnic tables, a playground. and a sand beach which is raked daily during the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day). There are also docks and rafts, as well as swimming lanes where the Sharon Swim Team holds practices.

Silver Lake State Boat Launch

On the southeast corner of Silver Lake, accessed through Silver Lake Shores Road, is a state boat launch.
